Mermen and Shitones.

I live in Texas and I've discovered Jim and Jennifer of the Mermen are playing in a band called the Shitones. Are there any recordings available yet? Original music or covering other surf hits? I hope to go West next year and see them. Are the Mermen expected to play Mavericks in 2007? I need to plan in advance.

    Hey, check out www.archive.org and search for "Mermen". There are lots of Mermen shows available for download as well as a few Shitones shows. The Shitones play every Thursday at the Park Chalet in San Francisco. Their music is a combination of music and surf hits, as well as other non-surf gems.

    I haven't heard anything about Maverick's yet, but yes, it is the tradition that they play Maverick's for the last several years.
